Always consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this or any other medicine, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Consult your pharmacist or doctor:
• If symptoms persist for more than 7 days.
• Immediately if you accidentally take too much syrup or give too much syrup to a child.

Most people have no side effects taking Vicks Cough Syrup for Chesty Coughs but as with all medicines it may not suit everyone. There may occasionally be side effects. These may include stomach ache. If you notice anything else unusual or have any unexpected effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Each 15ml dose contains 5.55g of sugar (sucrose). This should be taken into account by those with diabetes. This pack may contain 180ml, 120ml or 100ml of cough syrup. Each 15ml (adult) dose contains 200mg Guaifenesin as the active ingredient.

Warning
This medicinal product contains 5.208 vol.% of ethanol (alcohol), i.e. up to 0.6308g per 15 ml dose, equivalent to. 21.42 ml beer, 6.25 ml wine per dose. Harmful for those suffering from alcoholism. To be taken into account in pregnant or breast feeding women, children, high-risk groups such as patients with liver disease or epilepsy. Reactions in road traffic and while operating machinery may be lowered. May modify or increase the effect of other medicines. This medicinal product may contain up to 66.6g of sucrose.

When taken according to dosage recommendations each 15ml dose supplies up to 5.55g of sucrose. Unsuitable for patients with a history of difficulty digesting sugars. This should also be taken into account by those with diabetes. This product contains sodium benzoate which is a mild irritant to the skin, eyes and mucous membranes.

Do not store above 25ºC. Do not use after the expiry date. Keep out of reach and sight of children.

Ingredients
Vicks Cough syrup for Chesty coughs contains the active ingredient Guaifenesin. This works as an expectorant by thinning the phlegm and mucus in the upper chest and therefore making it easier to cough.

This product also contains: Sucrose, Propylene glycol, Ethanol, Sodium citrate, Sodium carboxymethylcellulose, Citric Acid, Polyoxyl 40 stearate, Flavour 9512, Black cherry flavour, Sodium benzoate, Polyethylene oxide, Sodium saccharin, Menthol, Ponceau Red 4R (E124). Menthoxypropanediol, Water.
