Important information

Vicks Cough Syrup with Honey for Dry & Irritating Coughs (contains Levomenthol)

Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to menthol or any of the other ingredients. Do not exceed maximum 6 doses a day. Do not give this medicine to children under 6 years of age, unless directed by a doctor.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Always consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this or any other medicine, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. This product contains 9g of sugar (present as sucrose and glucose) per 10ml dose. Those with diabetes should consult their doctor before using this product.

Most people have no side effects with Vicks Cough Syrup with Honey for Dry and Irritating Coughs, but as with all medicines it may not suit everyone. If you notice anything unusual or have any unexpected side effects, please talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children. Do not store above 25°C, or refrigerate. Do not use after the expiry date.

Ingredients:
Each 5ml dose of Vicks Cough Syrup with Honey for Dry and Irritating Coughs contains 6.25mg Levomenthol as the active ingredient.

This medicine also contains sucrose, liquid glucose, honey, propylene glycol and purified water. The bottle may contain 100ml or 120ml of cough syrup.

This medicinal product may contain up to 32g of sucrose. When taken according to the dosage recommendations each 10ml dose supplies up to 4g of sucrose. Unsuitable for patients with a history of difficulty digesting sugars.

Vicks Cough Syrup with Honey for Dry Coughs (contains Dextromethorphan, available at the pharmacy counter)

Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to dextromethorphan or other ingredients, have severe liver disease, a productive cough or are taking medicines called monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). Do not give this medicine to children under 6 years of age. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine if you have asthma, have ever had liver problems or are diabetic or have difficulty digesting some sugars.

Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this product if you are pregnant or breast feeding.

Vicks Cough Syrup with Honey for Dry Coughs can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them. Ingredients:
Each 15ml adult dose contains the active ingredient: dextromethorphan hydrobromide 20 mg

This medicine contains 5.2% vol. alcohol (ethanol). Each 15 ml adult dose contains approximately 0.63g of alcohol. This is roughly the same as 6.5 ml of wine (standard measure = 125 ml). This may be harmful to those suffering from alcoholism. This medicine also contains sugar (sucrose) - Each 15 ml adult dose contains 5.55 g of sucrose. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, consult your doctor before taking this medicinal product.
