A:

It’s fine to use Vicks Sinex Decongestant Capsules with any topically applied decongestant products. In the Vicks range this includes, Vicks Vaporub, Vicks Vapobath, and Vicks Sinex Decongestant nasal sprays.

As always, if you’re unsure about anything or need advice, please talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

A:

DO NOT EXCEED THE STATED DOSE - AN OVERDOSE IS DANGEROUS. Immediate medical advice should be sought in the event of an overdose, even if you feel well, because of the risk of delayed, serious liver damage.

A:

Both products are decongestants, which means if your nose is blocked and you’re finding it difficult to breathe, they help to unblock it, but they work in different ways.

The nasal spray will give you relief from a blocked nose, and keep your nose clear for up to 8 hours.

Sinex Decongestant Capsules also contain a painkiller, so as well as helping to unblock your nose, they’re ideal to help relieve painful sinuses and headaches, as well as general aches, pains and feverishness.

A:

Vicks Sinex Decongestant capsules contain Paracetamol which relieves pain and reduces fever. They also contain Phenylephrine Hydrochloride, a decongestant that shrinks the blood vessels in the nose and sinuses, which opens the airways and helps you to breathe more easily.

A:

That horrible blocked nose feeling is mainly due to the blood vessels in your nose swelling up because of the cold infection. Vicks Sinex Soother nasal spray contains Oxymetazoline, a decongestant that works by reducing the swelling of the blood vessels, which in turn causes less production of mucus.
