Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Always consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are breastfeeding. This product should not be used in pregnancy unless advised by your doctor.
It is recommended you do not take Sinex Decongestant Capsules if you are:
• allergic to any of the ingredients listed.
• pregnant.
• taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors, or within 14 days of stopping such treatment.
• taking tricyclic anti-depressant drugs.
As with all medicines, please check with your doctor before taking if you:
• have during the last two weeks taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAO inhibitors are used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease and depression).
• are taking tricyclic antidepressants or Bethanidine, Debrisoquine and Guanethidine (medicines used in the treatment of high blood pressure).
Rarely, side effects may occur with this product. Skin rashes or other allergic reactions may occur, and rarely blood disorders have developed. With Phenylephrine there have been a few reports of dizziness, palpitations and high blood pressure.
Vicks Sinex Decongestant Capsules should be used before the expiry date stated on the package, and stored below 25°C. As with all pharmaceutical products, keep out of the reach and sight of children.
